Hi everyone! My name is Sarah. My DH and I are really motivated to be healthier and have more energy. We have both let the weight creep up on us while we focused on the kids. Now, we have decided to make our health a priority so that we will be around a long time to enjoy our kids, and their kids and their kids! I'd love to have all of the support I can get. Let's keep each other motivated!

My Goals:
I plan to eat healthy and stay away from foods that I know are harmful to me. I want to have more energy to keep up with my kids and more fully enjoy life. I am working towards a 2 lb weight loss each week.

My Program:
I plan to follow the You On a Diet plan. I've tried many diets and I've decided to quit dieting and work on paying better attention to my health.

Personal Information:
I'm 39 years young. I am married and have 6 children. Only 4 left at home though but they keep us busy. We tend to be either running the kids around or helping someone with something. I feel that our meals are often fast food or just quick and easy to make. (think frozen lasagna) I am trying to break that cycle. I want to develop good eating habits that will stay with me and my children the rest of our lives.

Other Information:
I love to be outdoors doing something. My husband and I like to play ping pong, tennis, frisbee golf, and bowl. Once in a while we go hiking. I'd like to ride our bikes more and maybe join a walking club. I also enjoy reading. We used to play on a co ed softball team. That was a blast.

    Hi Sarah, I'm 5' 7". My diet plan now is limiting carbs (trying) and eating more protein. It seems to work better with my hypothyroid. I'm using the food tracker to log everything I eat which is so helpful. It's really helped to see the big picture as far as overall calories are concerned. I find that I don't eat much different than I did before but I forgo a 'little bit of this and a little bit of that' now. My son & his buddy are here for spring break and we had to feed know how it goes. -Tami-

    Hi Sarahpat, Welcome to the Wine Lovers Group. I'm pretty new there too but they seem like a fun bunch. I'm 39 and have two kids in college also. None left at home! I would gladly have taken 4 more after I left the last one at college. It's hard getting used to a quiet house sometimes. I'm also a member of the Thyroid Community. Seems we have a lot in common.
