I am on a journey to lose this weight and keep it off. I have a 17 year old son, when I first wrote this he was 12, and I need to be here for him for a very long time. I still have a lot to accomplish in my life and by getting fit and trim I will.

It is time for another update. Yet another update 1/4/16.

For those of you reading this little intro that think you cannot have a successful journey, think again. I am living proof it is possible. It takes hard work, commitment to yourself, but mostly it takes belief in yourself. Look deep inside and you will find what you are looking for, the answer is in you.

I started this life style change on May 13th, 2009. I can hardly believe this Friday, it will be 6 months. My goal is and has always been to lose at least 50 pounds. As is always the case the closer I get the harder that goal is to achieve. The great thing is, it is a very achievable goal and I am going to make it. How am I going to make it? With the inner strength of myself and all my many wonderful friends and supporters here at Spark.

In my wildest dreams I would never have imagined coming this far in this short of time. As of my last weigh in, which was 11/5/09, I have dropped 41 pounds. New, new update, I met my goal of dropping 50 pounds on 12/23/09. This took 32 weeks and it's the best 32 weeks I have ever spent.

The great thing about my experience here at Spark is not only the weight loss, but everything else that came with the package. I am talking about my wonderful friends, team members and co-leads. Each and everyone of you have a special place in my heart and I am so grateful for you all. Some I have met in person, and that is one of the greatest thrill's of my life. I have others that I plan to meet in the future and I can't wait.

If you are reluctant to get your journey started, don't be. Take a deep breath, say to yourself, " I am powerful, I can do anything I set my mind to." Then Just Do It!


You all have success in you, don't ever quit! Keep heading for the light at the end of the tunnel

Doing It Again In 2010!

Here it is 2016. I was asked to lead the SP Class of January 3-9, 2016 team and I excepted the challenge. I decided it was time once again to push myself. You see I've become a little complacent and put a few pounds back on. I need to get re-motivated and I thought what better way than to lead and help new people on their journey.

Here we go to get mean and lean in 2016!

Fitness Minutes: 212,851

My Goals:
I met my weight loss goal and am now in the process of re-evaluating. I believe I would still like to drop a little more so I am at my peak as far as energy and over all physical fitness is concerned.


My Program:
I am walking using videos from the Leslie Sansone programs. I am doing at 3 miles everyday. This is going to be the year for me to get really physically fit and toned. No sagging butt, arms and belly for me!



Personal Information:
I am from Independence, Kansas. I share my home with my husband, 17 year old son, 1miniature schnauzer, 1 boxer, and 1 Siamese cat. I home school the young one who graduated at the end of this first semester, he will walk across the stage in May. I drive a school bus and work for Casey's General Store. Besides all of the above, I make soaps and lotions, and stained glass pieces. I sell these products through an internet shop.


Other Information:
Some of my favorite things to do are landscaping, crocheting, reading, and interior decorating.
I like to listen to music that has a great beat. You know one that makes your feet move all by themselves. I like to watch action, mystery, and funny movies.
