well, first of all thanks for writing back. I was hoping I was not too harsh!! So, here is my prediction for you: you are so and totally going to succeed in this!!!! You caught yourself before the weight got totally out of hand....it did sneak up on you when you figured you were safe but you stopped the main cause ( except for special occasions which is totally fine) ! You must be a pretty mature young lady to learn from this so quickly and I am serious. I'm proud of you. Glad you are going to post some photo's!! don't forget to be diligent about posting your food too. this really helps in two ways - you learn what you are going overboard on as far as carb/fats/protien ratios, and its such a pain in the butt to put in tidbits of things that you grab off the kitchen counter that it becomes daunting to do so. Post and make that public as well. Nobody really looks at that on anyones pages even though they have the ability to , but still, it makes you accountable. I have to admit, though that when I first joined sparkpeople, I did look up what some people were eating on their tracker, because I thought it totally impossible to eat less than about a hundred grams of fat a day, and I needed to see what others were doing that was tasty, nutritious...it really helped me get new ideas on stuff to eat for sure. your going to do great! 4062 days ago

Hey girl!! chin up, you can do this. Okay, one thing you need to do in order to motivate you is make this page "you". Seriously. Get some photo's of yourself posted on here...good and bad ones! I also think it kind of doesn't make you as accountable if you have pounds lost in your graph, versus your actual weight and your goal weight. Get the raw facts out there and toe the line. Face it and embrace it completely. This is your journey. enjoy the exercise too! Find fun ways to exercise - then workout at the "gym" in order to stay in shape for the fun stuff. Totally do different stuff as much as possible, if you are having trouble being consistent. You got alot going on since you are in school.....but There must have been something kind of major going on that caused you to gain that much weight in just one year. I know at the age of 21 you are allowed to drink and beer is by far the WORST thing in the world if you are trying to hold your weight, or lose, so if you indulged this is the year to moderate that a bit. Of course you have to understand that I'm an old lady , and a mom :) and I must use this opportunity to help you not get into that habit if you did for a while, so I will apologize now if partying a little more was not what helped caused it!!!! Come visit me sometime, and I promise I won't lecture you all the time! I'm finding the bootcamp pretty challenging....seems like it should be so easy and its so short of a time, but I know I personally find all sorts of excuses NOT to pull it up and do it. 4063 days ago

Saw your latest comment on my blog. First, the step/push-up/crunch tests are listed on your Weigh-in page on SparkPeople if you click "Add/Change What You Measure" and if you click "Info" next to them it will tell you how to properly conduct the tests as well as a chart to show you what your results mean. As for EA Active, it is a game for the Wii. If you have a Wii, I *highly* recommend it. 4073 days ago

Hey, hon. I just wanted to check in and see if you are hanging in there, since your last blog post sounded pretty bleak. I hope you made it through the holiday okay and are ready to kick some butt in December! 4106 days ago
