I'm a 32 y/o from West Berkshire, England. Had Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy Aug 16, 2010 and my highest weight was 640lbs/46stone.

I have a Vlog on youtube, username magentarose1978 about my journey with WLS and weight loss. I'm blunt, honest, and real. Life is too short to care what people think of me.

My goals are simple. Lose as much weight as possible. I don't believe I will ever be thin as I was 75lbs/5stone at 3 y/o and 140lbs/10stone at 7 years old. I've always been supersized and I just can't let myself believe I can ever be thin. I hope to prove myself wrong, but I'm not holding my breath.

My Goals:
First Goal-500lbs
Second Goal-450lbs
Third Goal-400lbs
Ultimate Goal 250lbs

My Program:
I am following my own plan of low carb/low GI and counting calories. I'm fairly limited physically and will start going to water aerobics when I hit 530 or so when I can actually walk a bit better.

Personal Information:
Hello! I'm ShrinkyDinky! I'm an American living in the UK with my husband. I also have a stepson, and 3.5 cats. (We are convinced one of our cats has adopted another home, lol)

I'm on the path to have WLS, but I don't really want it so I am going to try my hardest to shift this weight!

I've always been fat. At 3 years old I was 75lbs (5stone) and when I was 7 I was 140lbs (10stone). My entire family is fat as far back as 5 generations on all sides, though I am one of the biggest.

I have PCOS and insulin resistance which make it harder to lose weight, but I can do this!!!!

I believe I am fat because of genetics, health issues, lack of exercise, eating too much of the wrong things, and an eating disorder.

BUT! I can do this. I AM DOING THIS!

Other Information:
Don't hate fat people. Yes, fat people got there by eating too much. But do you laugh at smokers with lung cancer or alcoholics with liver failure? NO? You don't???? GOOD! NONE OF IT IS FUNNY. FAT IS NOT FUNNY!!!

Just swinging by your page to say emoticon on your weight loss so far and I totally agree, surgery is NOT an easy way out. I know people who have had surgery and for a couple it was their only option. Keep up your great work - you can do it. Be proud of yourself - you've achieved so much so far emoticon emoticon

Hey girl! It's me Mandy and I'd thought I'd add ya. Maybe I'll start doing the logging of food too. I really need to get out of this funk. Easier said than done right? I'm so happy to see you out here. emoticon

    Valentine Smile

On Valentine's Day we think of those
    Who make our lives worthwhile,
    Those gracious, friendly people who
We think of with a smile.
I am fortunate to know you,
That's why I want to say,
To a rare and special person:
    Happy Valentine's Day!
