Fitness Minutes: 102,395

My Goals:
So, I am going to shake things up a bit... Let's see if THIS will work. I need to become more accountable
1/22/10 227 BIG ICK
1 pound per week. This I am going to try and do. Eat better, Move more, it's a pound, I can DO a pound, but gee whiz, 52 pounds this year, sounds so much better than 1 pound this week...


My Program:
I need to remember what I am putting in my mouth .
I need to remember that if I can’t (won’t) walk because it’s cold out, I need to move in another way.
I need to remember that if I don’t burn calories, I will not continue to lose weight.
I need to remember that whole foods are better than processed foods.
I need to remember that this is a journey to the rest of my life.

I can eat the cake (but then must pay for it with exercise and strict calorie watching). I don't think I can go "on" a diet that I must elimate food. I LOVE food, and that's ok,a as long as I don't love all the food at the same time, every day, and that I MOVE, MOVE, MOVE! I am currently (4/22/19) 58 and I have found I need to move every (or almost every) day.



Personal Information:
I joined Sparks a couple of years ago, and every once in a while I would post what I ate. This spring (2010) I decided I would make myself more accountable. So, here I am, 50. WOW how cool. I am 50. Now the flip side of that is I often don't think I have changed the world, I think I thought I would. I didn't invent anything that changed the world, People don't say, Oh, there she goes, you know, she founded...

1/14/14 I am still here, I am now 53, and I am still on the journey, and I WILL NOT GIVE UP.

I'm still here tracking almost everyday and trying to accountable. I started 2018 at 233.5 pounds (ICK), but knowing I must move, and track, I've been working at it. This morning 215. And while that is still not a great number it's 18.5 pounds better than my start of this year. For Lent I said 30 minutes a day on the ellipti, and add 5 minutes a week. It helps. I do miss days, and try not to beat myself up over it. Working toward 199 by 10/27/18.


Other Information:
To wake up every day grateful for the things I already have. To remember that life is a gift not given, and that if I don't do something about my weight, I may not have a long life, which I need, and so does my family.

    Thanks so.much for explaining your eating plan to me. It sounds like you’re taking the aspects of various programs that suit your lifestyle and health needs. I’m doing something similar, and at my age, my metabolism is so slow even with walking 2 times a day and doing intermittent fasting on a low carb diet, I can only lose about a pound every 3 weeks. So stick to your plan, and reach your goal and MAINTAIN now while you’re young. :)
