Hi, my name is Jessica and I am 22 years old. I'm a senior nursing student . I will be graduating in December of this year! Food is an addiction of mine and it has been for a long time. I eat when I'm stressed and bored. I am going to try and find a balance between food and exercise.

I started spark people January of 2010. I blogged everyday and the support motivated me to continue. In the summer I hit a plateau and maintained my weight at 150. Relationship troubles and Christmas time was not good to me. I gained about 12lbs. I'm ready to take my weight loss journey to the next level and continue on a healthy lifestyle. I am and will be proof that if I can do this anyone can!

Update (3-2-10) : I have completed my first 6 weeks here on spark and my life has been forever changed! I know that I can make choices to be a better me I have lost 15.6lbs!! I weigh 164.4 with a BMI of 30.1. It took a lot of hard work but I'm glad to know I'm on my way to a healthier me. I have not been perfect I have had times where I ate non-healthy foods but I have found the trick to be getting back on track as soon as you can and not giving up!

Update (4-10-10): I have finished 12 weeks! I am excited to say that I have continued to make progress throughout these 12 weeks. I weigh 157.4lbs and I have a BMI of 28.8. I am down 22.6lbs. What I really want to work on is to continue to stay on track with things and not straying away to far from my goals of eating healthy and exercising daily. I am definitely proud of how far I have come!

Update (5-27-10): I have finished 18 weeks. Most of those weeks have been good but I have had a few slip ups. I guess I just have trouble sticking with things. What happened was finals. Dreaded finals. That's where I fell down but I am glad to say I have picked myself back up and am down 28.8lbs. I weigh 151.2lbs and I have a BMI of 27.7. My goal is getting closer and closer. I haven't felt this good for a long time and haven't been this skinny for a long time! Thanks spark!

Update (5-22-10): I'm at 143.8lbs It has taken me a long time to get here. Almost a year in fact but I'm getting so close to my goal weight now every pound gets me just that much closer. My BMI is 26.3. I only need to loose 8.8 more pounds to be in the healthy range on the BMI scale!

My Program:
I try to workout everyday which ends up averaging to 5-6 days a week. There is always one day that I'm just too tired or have too much going on.

I eat fruit and veggies, a protein supplement, whole grains and lean meats.

I try to keep moving!

And Sparkpeople.com is a big factor in my program. The support that sometimes isn't there by friends and family is always there with my sparkpeople! I try to blog everyday which keeps me accountable for my goals.

    I have no idea how I came across your page, but I can relate to your recent blogs. I lost 25 pounds in the beginning of 2010 and over the summer gained it all back. In the beginning of 2010 I started my weighloss journey again, but this time I decided I wasn't going to be as strict. I have since lost those same 25 pounds. If I can do it, you can do it too!

    Hey Jess, thanks for stopping by. I haven't been very focused either. My scale is not moving in the right direction. I'm trying to get back on it! Ok so we need to just get back up dust off and start doing what we both know works. So hang in there and I know if anyone can do it you can! Your success has been amazing!
