Introduction Text We moved from DC to the eastern shore of Maryland onto 6 acres of land in 2014 when I retired from active service as a United Methodist pastor. Now we raise chickens, goats, and vegetables. We sell eggs by the side of the road and have sold our vegetables at a farmers' market in season. My primary goal has been to put myself into a setting and lifestyle that will help me remain physically active rather than just sitting on the couch reading books. Raising some of our own food is also a good thing. I love canning. My doctor recently told me to lose some weight so I've started taking SP more seriously.
