Thank you for the Goodie: Was having a great day and enjoyed the early morning sun, now I did it, I have a real bad arm, waiting for MRI-will have it in July, well to-day I had plant I wanted to put in the trash along with my other trash. Went down and thought I could pitch it in with one arm, no way, I am short and had to use my bad left arm to heft it into the trash bucket, you guessed it...pain, agony, but that too shall disappear. Can't take codiene or anything like that so I have a special type of Tylenol by prescription.

Now that I have whined...should be wined and I will feel better (lol). I am so glad you have been able to get away and enoy B.C. I wish I could too but husband is too ill to do many things so we wait for holidays and go with family. I miss travelling as we used to do that every summer.

I think, I know I have lost 10 lbs since I joined Sparks. I have to get the official weigh in to-morrow then post it. If I can do it correctly.

Off to see my daughter to-day, she needs some help with her new computer. Not that I know all but her husband had a stroke and can use it for games, etc.

Talk to you soon. Lailas emoticon

    Good Morning:

Read the paper, most of the messages on my Spark pages, waiting for husband to get up and prepare for the day. We are off to the eye specialist and get groceries to-day. Yesterday with the snow, even though it didn't snow much in Langley we didn't do much outdoor activity. Husband knows his boundaries when it comes to driving and we try not to impede others as we drive less and less since he had his TIA.

Glad to see you are enjoying your time out. Painting is something I need to do but with husbands COPD he can't stand the smell of paint and until my budget can take it I am waiting to get the new paint that I understand has no smell and is ecologically good, or whatever the spin is now.

We are going to Alasaka in June and daughter is the best cruise director..keeps on top of sales and we had our fares reduced again..guess it is because lack of people travelling with the economy so uncertain. This will most certainly be one of our last family cruises as husband is becoming more fraile and needs his oxygen more..we cannot complain as he is 80 going on 81 in November and we have been married 53 years now so we have had a great life, not always smooth sailing but then what marriage does and what we have learned ;through sickness, lack of money, etc has made us stronger together.

Enuff of this pontificating. Have to get up and get my breakfast. Trust you will get your paint chip matched so you can do your painting. Do you live in one of those beautiful old houses that New West is know for. My friend lives on Princess St. in New West and when I visit her, not to frequently, we love to look at all the houses. What a treat, they have character not one of those Vancouver specials with their front yards having lions and such at the gates. New West has class.

    Hello Sparkarino:

Thanks for the note. Yes, the flu is going around. I was droppy last week. Today not too hot. I usually don't use milk, can eat yogurt but yesterday I thought I would try rice krispies for my snack. Well, stomach ache all nite and still, but that will go soon. Will get some ginger and use it . All types of stomach Rxs don;t do a thing. I have used cimedadine, tums, etc. Guess I just have to never drink or use milk.

You will certainly enjoy your visit with your son. Going any place special. My daughters always visit but our son ...he is single and calls daily but visits less frequently. Get together for all occasions so we see him monthly as we have a lot of birthdays.

The movie Stone Angel was on again yesterday, the high channels, 61 I think...Ellen Burstyn did a great job and when they aged her...wow.

Been busy to-day with the computer guy as my monitor died and I had to borrow one from the neighbor as we had to detect what went wrong with the computer as I just had it updated, etc. The price of monitors from 4 years ago is half . I paid $399.00 for a samsung at Staples and this year their brand sold for $178.00, what a difference. I am so happy daryl comes to the house and I can rely on him in an emergency.

All for now. Will be in touch again. Take care

    emoticon Hi Sparkarino:

Sunshine is coming out and this morning I did the unthinkable. I watched T.V. actually I was dusting and turned on the TV and lo and behold the Stone Angel by Margaret Laurence was on. Burstyn played Hagar and what a delightful movie. Of course, it was taken place in Manitoba and I could relate to much of the old stores, the cars, etc. Does that date me.

Thanks for the note. The shows I talked about were when I was about 6-7-9 years of age. So when the CBC radio came on that was our entertainment of the day. Subtract 10 years from my age and that puts it back about 62 years. Wow, what a long time ago. Other things we listened to was the Opera from New York each saturday afternoon when mom didn't have the .12 cents to get to the Princess Theatre to see the movies . Wow the dancing ball and the sing alongs during the war. Of course we always wanted to go see the trailers. Roy Roger tempting us for the famous movie the next week.

Oh well that was many years ago but I do remember them well, guess that is part of a song.
Doing okay. Husband doing better and we are all happy with the outcome for both husband and daughter who went to work for the first time since her last surgery. What a day to return...snow and slippery roads but they (her work friends) were pleased to have her back.

All for now. Take care and be Happy.

    Good afternoon Spark Bud:

What a beautiful day. Don't know if I mentioned I had a touch of something the past few days, must be all the kids at the pool who bring in their goodies..lol. Feel better to-day.

I have to buy the Lotto 649 as I spun the wheel to 25 two days in a row, yesterday and to-day. Points sure add up after that.

I am trying hard to keep on the straight and narrow. Did my changes to my page and see that somehow my weight is showing on my messages, oh well, honesty is the best policy and is an incentive to keep me going.

Here I am talking about me, and not asking how you are? Did you enjoy your outing. It must be great. I miss the outdoor activities..husband doesn't do it much any more and when we lived up north we were out daily, chopping wood, looking for fallen trees to buck up and pile up for winter. Feeding the cow, goat and chickens, walking with my dog, cat and cow. Had a real following when I lived in Lac La Hace, I would go for a walk, the cow would follow, grab my work shirt, the dog, the goat and the cat. What a site. Oh well I should put my picutre up of my good old days. Don't know how to do it though.

Take care Will be in touch again.
