2012: A Time for Discovery
Why a year of discovery? I'm embarking on a few new endeavors and continuing to work towards goals I set in 2011. I'm continuing my therapy to confront hurts of the past and present, and discover the true self I've hidden behind so many walls, masks, and pounds. My primary goal this year: to be true to myself.

My Goals:
I'm working on a healthy BMI by December 2012.
My Program:
1. Practice mindful eating.
2. Walk daily.
3. Practice Lent and my faith.
4. Be true to myself. Or in other works, live my true life.
Personal Information:
I have two bright, beautiful kids and a a wealth of supportive friends.
I joined Sparkpeople in 2006, lost 20 lbs, but gained it back (and then some). This time I'm getting active in the community to power up my weight loss and add accountability to my efforts!
Other Information:
I enjoy creating low-calorie versions of old recipes that are originally calorie bombs, and getting the same enjoyment (or moreso) from the lightened up, healthier versions. I also have fun getting the biggest bang for my calorie buck - stretching my calorie budget for the most filling meals, using tricks like extending a recipe with lots of low-glycemic vegetables.
