Well, I just deleted my entire intro that has been here for years and just edited as I hit milestones.

Basically.... I have messed up royally. I was at 270.... I am back to 305. I hate it...

I weighed in at 270 the day I was rear ended at a stoplight. Feb 2009 It made HUGE changes to my body's ability to exercise how I was. between the muscles and back issues along with the rotator cuff tears.... uuuggghhhh the weight started creeping back on.

I then found out that the "goiter" had changed! In one year my cystic growth with a fully "hot" or functional thyroid had changed. My thyroid L side had a 3.7 cm by 2.6 cm tumor and it was "cold." So they figured 95% chance it was cancer... after LOTS of prayer, I feel a miracle transcribed as what he removed (5.3.2010) did not even remotely resemble what the tests ALL showed it should have been. It was NOT cancer and as it still sits... my thyroid levels are still .1 and .01 within normal ranges. After dropping into lethargic weeks... I pushed the doctor a bit and he did start me on synthroid.

Well, a week after my surgery... so May 2010 I was again stopped and was rear-ended again. It is AWFUL... I had only been released by my chiropractor to go back to full workouts the DAY before...

So... I am embarrassed that I have regained, BUT I can totally do this again, and I pray you will all help support me in this process.

I am also now a TOPS chapter leader and I feel that TOPS is a powerful support to help to change our lives for the best.

I have 4 special needs boys that are now 13,12,10,9 (will be in a couple of weeks...)

So much to do.... I keep way too busy and am dealing with WAY too much stress.

Praying I can keep on track and do this again!

My Goals:
I am trying to lose over 200 lbs. I am trying to be a mom to 4 very busy boys while maintaining some sense of coherence. I need all the help I can get.

My Program:
The biggest thing I am doing is DRINKING WATER, since I typically have only been a 1-2 glass a day drinker. I am also trying to exercise and eat better. I am also attending TOPS weekly and looking for a loss each week.

    Tina...I'm in the middle of a horrific physical issue that has stopped me from exercising like I want to. I fight every week to lose. I know it's not easy. I have tons of respect for you and for getting back up and going again. It's not how many times we fall down, but how many times we get back up. It's when we refuse to get back up that we are (and only then) are considered failures. You are a wonderful caring woman. I have only the deepest respect for you. YOU CAN DO IT BECAUSE YOU ARE WORTH IT!!!

    I cried with all of your comments.... Thank you so much everyone. Your support means so much to me! It is nice to know I am not alone. I had a gain this week.... BUT I am retaining water and well.... its just another week. I can and will do this. Yesterday I did 1 hr in the pool. Today I did 2 water aerobics classes.... a total of 3hrs 20 min in the pool... I am SO exhausted and My quads, glutes, and abs are SOOO sore! I hope I can have the energy to do what is needed tomorrow!

    Hi Tina I know its hard...I had read that those people who get their thyroid taken out tend to gain....I was like no fricking way, so I powered through and even though my weight loss is not as much as I would like to see it is still going down. You know I have been there near your weight so if you just want some fresh ideas call me.....

    You can do it!! I have thyroid issues too so I know what you are going through on that one. You are such a strong person and have already done so much and you are still on the right path regardless of the obstacles. I am also trying to get back into my healthy habits, so let's do it together! Get better! emoticon
