I am 60+ and notice loss of flexibility and stamina more as the years pile up. I am overweight and need help reaching my goals. I am at the point in my life where I am need to put myself first. I will be relentless in the pursuit of a healthier me.

I've been with SparkPeople for 12 years now. I want to be able to enjoy my retirement and improve my overall health! I 've had success in the past but only when I am consistent with using SP tools and resources. I've lost over 60 pounds from my top weight and my blood pressure is normal, thanks to all the tools and support from SP

My Goals:
I want to look and feel better. I want to have more stamina. More specifically I want: my BMI less than 25 and stay in a normal weight range. I want to get off medication, if possible, and stop needing CPAP. And, I want to maintain a healthy lifestyle the rest of my days on the planet.

My Program:
The steps I'm taking to get there: Stay active in SparkPeople until I reach my goals which means staying in calorie range and try to hit that ideal carb/fat/protein split as often as possible. I will find a way to make regular exercise part of my life. I will plan snacks ahead, celebrate successes, forgive myself for setbacks and never give up. I'm combining strength and cardio and diet and appreciating the support I am getting from all of you!

Personal Information:
Closing in on 65, happily married with an adult son. I'm finally ready to make me a priority (again).

    Hi Sussee! It has been great being in camp this summer. You are an inspiration. I have been telling myself, I'm too old to start training to jog. I've never jogged in my life. You make me realize that we are never too old to get it together. Thanks for all your support.
