Healthy Living!!
Welcome 2021....
2020 has been quite the year for challenges! But I'm tired of this year controlling me and putting setbacks. Last October 2019 I made some healthy lifestyle changes and they carried me well into March when lockdown started. Well October 2020 I tried once again to make healthier changes and so far this month I've tracked all my foods, reduced processed sugars and carbs, and I've lost 8 pounds. What a great October! November was a great month and I've lost another 5.8 lbs. ...

2020 has been quite the year for challenges! But I'm tired of this year controlling me and putting setbacks. Last October 2019 I made some healthy lifestyle changes and they carried me well into March when lockdown started. Well October 2020 I tried once again to make healthier changes and so far this month I've tracked all my foods, reduced processed sugars and carbs, and I've lost 8 pounds. What a great October! November was a great month and I've lost another 5.8 lbs. So for December I will try to continue on my plan since it's been working quite well.
My April 2021 Goals!
1. Going to bring out the treadmill... I need to do this yet, as I've now committed to walking 40 miles in April for the American Cancer Association.
2. Organize 1 new area each week! Been making great progress and will continue.
3. Plan my menu for the week. Menu has been going great. We've even been trying new recipes.
4. Been placing my online grocery order to help keep to necessities.
5. Go to gym 1 time a week...not there yet but working on it.

My Goals:
To be healthier and feel better about myself.
Short-term goals:
1. To drink 8 glasses of water a day. Update - I do this almost everyday, about 95% of the time.
2. To make fitness part of my regular routine. Update - I need to focus on this more over the winter months, once snow hit I've slacked. 2014 Update - I still struggle with getting fitness a priority. Despite the struggle I will keep trying!
3. To be more conscious of what I eat each day. Update - even when I've been offline for a while I still was very much aware of what and how much I was eating. I have the awareness now! 2014 Update - I'm very aware of what I eat and when I just need to do better planning with home cooked meals and less eating on the go. 2017 Update - joined Planet Fitness so now there is NO EXCUSE!
Long-term goal:
To lose 100 pounds and be healthier and feel comfortable in my body. Update - I've was down 33 pounds by Sept-12 but I've gained a couple back over winter currently down 3
My Program:
I am working my program by drinking my water, tracking my nutrition, and tracking my fitness through Spark People. I rely on this program as it helps me feel more accountable for my successes and setbacks.
Personal Information:
My name is Sherri. I am 52 years old and married to a wonderful man who is much more active and healthier than I. I have two grown children and four grandbabies that are the spark in my life.
I've always had weight issues as far back as I can remember. I've tried many things over the years to lose weight and have had some success. But since I turned 40 my battle seems to have become much harder. I love keeping busy and doing things with my family, but have found something much harder to participate in with the extra weight.
I want to enjoy life and be happy in my body. This time it WILL work!

Live each day to the fullest, and take time to enjoy the simple things in life!
