Hello, I am a 44 year old newly single mother of a black standard poodle named midnight from Pittsburgh PA. I want to live the slim life I'll always dreamed of! Not saying that I necessarily held back in life, but I feel with a healthier body I could do so much more! I enjoy doing activity based exercise such as Zumba and hip hop aerobics classes, water aerobics, and dancing. Although I previously was not a fan of the Planet Fitness crazy because they did not have water features or aerobic classes, have recently joined. I had to be honest with myself that even though I was saying "I can work out at home for free," when in reality I was doing 0 in terms of working out, it wasn't really "working out" for me. Pun intended. Lol My challenges: 1. I've been over overweight all my life so there are some really deep and grand modes of being I have to overcome. 2. I have a lot to lose. Over 100 pounds that's a daunting task, and then I'm worried about excess skin when I do lose it all and how I will look Because of the amount of weight I need to lose. 3. I have some physical limitations. Since childhood I've had problems with my feet. With falling arches plantar fasciitis, foot swelling, and just general foot pain plagues me all the time. Most of the time I feel my body can keep going but my feet well put me down for the count. 4. I cannot stomach vegetables for the most part. The only one is potato and we all know no one count that one. Lol this is also been a lifelong problem. I have considered hypnosis. And AM seriously considering meeting regularly with a nutritionist to see how to be healthy with this issue. Its not even like I can just slather something on vegetables to cover the taste because I do not like condiments either! Yep no ketchup, mayonnaise, mustard, relish and I don't like salad dressings. 5. I'm just going to throw this one in here too, it's more of a lifestyle issue that I just deal with because of having weight and that is being single and meeting people and dating as a overweight person. It definitely has its challenges. I have been married before my 9 year stint. And I've had relationships that last days from weeks to months to years. All while being heavy. Although now I am at my heaviest. Can you relate to any of my issues? I welcome any virtual and local buddies! Let's help keep each other motivated! :-)

    CONGRATS on joining SPARKS!!! I always tell new members at once join teams that are interesting to you. First before you join,,, look down through the dates of when the team have been posted. If a team doesn't have posting for the day,,, I'd look for another team. Some aren't active. Also read blog after blog. Make friends. If you blog,, it starts off slowly, but over time,,, more will read them.

    I can relate to the foot pain. I've have had 20 sure,and since June an infection to the bone.. We thought it had cleared up after having 30 treatments in the hyperbaric oxygen chamber over 6 weeks at 2 hrs a day along with having hard casts on from August through November. Two weeks ago at the Wound Clinic it was discovered I have either another infection or it hadn't left.

    Have you had any surgeries?? There are exercises you can do without ur feet. Please let me know if you would like any suggestions.

    Can you ask ur health provider about seeing a dietician? As said I' cutting them into very, very tiny pieces. I also make smoothies with frozen berries. One cup of frozen berries,,a half cup milk 2% or less and a small size of yogurt. Blend together,,,I use my nutra bullet.
