** UPDATE** April 2019 153 and holding! Getting ready for the push to reach goal weight this next year! Onward and downward!

Who says you can't loose weight if you're older, or on medications that "make you fat". Well, I know everyone and every circumstance is different, but I'm 65 and am on psych medications that are well-known to make you gain weight in that they increase your cravings and slow metabolism, but I have lost 45 pounds and am only 18 pounds from my goal weight despite that! So, don't be discouraged, you CAN do it! Because I did and if I did, so can you.....


I am feeling thinner today
I am getting stronger, healthier and slimmer everyday
I am losing weight effortlessly
I look and feel slimmer everyday
I am losing weight slowly but surely
I enjoy being slim and fit
I am on the road to great health and a great looking body
I am proud of myself for eating the right foods
I love how I feel after I exercise
I love the feeling of being slim and healthy
I am ready to be thin again
I find It feels so good to have a toned body
I create an abundance of energy when I work out
I acknowledge that my health is extremely important to me
I am taking care of myself and it gives me great confidence
I am committed to doing what it takes to become slim again and healthy
I deserve to be healthy in body and in mind
I will succeed at controlling my weight
I enjoy life when I am in good shape
I find water is refreshing and satisfies my food cravings
I find that every day I notice positive changes in my body

My Goals:
Reach goal weight 135, BMI of 25 by January, 2020.

My Program:
I am following no plan except to track what I eat with the Nutrition Tracker and using a FitBit for activity and tracking to keep to my calories and activity goals. Food tracking worked before, and it will work again.

Personal Information:
I am a 64 year old "girl" who lives in Jacksonville, Florida. I have lost 50 pounds and went from OBESE to OVERWEIGHT. I now need to reach the NORMAL weight category for optimum overall good health, and to me that would be 135 lbs.

Other Information:
I love reading and playing games on my computer, I also love playing Mah Jong. I struggle at getting there, but do water aerobics whenever possible (the winter months are even more challenging). I write poetry and crochet.

    So, checked my BMI and I only have 5 pounds to go until I officially leave the Obese category and enter Overweight! It will be a good day!! emoticon

    Here is a great web page to calculate your BMI that also takes your age into consideration, not just height and weight.

    Hi. Came across your sparkpage while viewing another. Wishing you a good week. Also, if you would like to try something different with a little challenge...I have one for you to consider. It's a small private team that competes with others within the larger X-Weighted team. Doing various challenges. Runs for 8 weeks. Stop by my sparkpage and click on the X-Weighted 10 Challenge....Dwindling_Divas team. Join, look it over and add your name to the sign-up thread. Main requirement is to post weight weekly...other activities, all though very beneficial, are optional.
