My name is Tiffany. I have 2 kids, ages 12 and 6. I was not overweight before having kids. When my oldest was 4, I was up to 208 lbs. I started working out and eating better, and lost 40 pounds in less than 6 months. Then I had to have surgery and gained back about 20 pounds, and got pregnant with my daughter a couple of months later. I was 259.5 pounds when I gave birth to her via c-section in March of 2005. I lost 42 pounds the first 6 weeks after I had her, but quickly gained most of it back. Now I go back and forth between 251 and 258, and cannot seem to get motivated to lose the weight again. I avoid having my picture taken as much as possible, which is sad, because I want to have pics WITH my kids, not just OF my kids.
January 11, 2010: I have not been on here in a while. I underwent a lot of change in 2009, none of which was conducive to losing weight! I did manage to lose and keep off 17.5 pounds last year, so I guess that is something at least. I am starting the new year with a new lease on life and hoping this will be the year I finally get a handle on this. I am ready for change.
