Hello! My name is Kimberly or Kim. My husband Bill and I have been together for over 10 years now. He is an OTR Truck Driver and I miss him like crazy! But, I have 4 kids who keep me busy...teenagers at that. Christina 18, Billy 17, Brianna 16, and Alyssa 12. I work FULL time and play "Mom's Taxi" in my free time. I am also a puppy raiser for Canine Support Teams, Inc. Elvis is my first puppy in training and when he grows up he will be an assistance dog for the disabled. My other 2 dogs are Jake and Serenity and they are VERY spoiled, but they are great dogs!

I came to find out about Sparkpeople when I decided to join a weight loss challenge that I found out about through Meetup.com. Much like the Biggest Loser, it was a challenge to see who would lose the most weight and win the money. It only cost me $29 and I figured worst case scenario...I would lose weight! Best case scenario I would lose weight, and win the $.

Like most everyone else on here I'm ready for a lifestyle change...NO MORE DIETS! I want to have a positive impact on my kids so they will live a healthy lifestyle as well. I need to practice what I preach.
My weight has gone up and down over the years. I weighed 198 at my highest and I hope I don't get back to that number. I am 5'3" so that weight is hard on my body and it doesn't wear well either! In my 20's I was probably a size 5 and about 125-130lbs. I'm older now and my body has changed so I don't have any false ideas that I will look the way I used to. I am currently at 159 and would like to get to 140 and then take it from there. I want to focus on my fitness more than a number on the scale.

I enjoy Yoga and Pilates...it is much harder than it looks! I would really like to participate in a run/walk marathon. That is going to take a lot of work because even in my younger years I was fit but not "runner" fit.
