Hi, I am a 40 yr old who has struggled with weight her whole life. My biggest struggle is with myself and accepting that I'm worthy enough to be healthy and have success. As strange as that may sound to some it's something I've struggled with a long time. Learning to love yourself can be hard but I'm learning if I really don't love myself enough it's too easy to feel unworthy of anything and too easy to want to sabatoge myself. I want to be the best mother, wife and person I can and to do that I am learning to love myself and know I'm worthy enough for success.

I've tried a few different things but I've tended to give up too fast not feeling like I can succeed then beating myself up when I fail. Its a vicious cycle but I'm doing my best to kick that way of thinking and I feel like I've turned a corner again and ready for healthy succes.

I'm focusing on health improvement and making fitness goals for myself. I've been on sparkpeople for a while but haven't really been utilizing it, I've used WW and calorieking over the past year but find myself coming back here because of the information, support and hope for success that I feel when I'm here.

I'm going to be utilizing all the resources, motivation and tools it provides to help me succeed. I have a goal of fit by 40! (I initially set this up late 2009 but then focused on WW instead, upped my exercise and am way fitter than last year but unfortunately focused on the exercise and slacked on the eating so the scale didn't really go down. Now my focus is on both since the exercise is much easier than before and I want to not only be fitter but be heathier fight off those diseases in my family - and get to a weight that is normal and lets me shop in any store I want to. :)

My Goals:
Recommitted date: 6/28/11

My goals are to lose between 50-60 lbs.

My fitness goals:

Exercise at least 3 times a week, increasing it to 5 (I was doing that at one point previously).

Jog/Run a 5K before 40th birthday.

Try an exercise class at the gym.

Try a new type of exercise.

My Program:
Frankly just doing the best I can. Every day may be a struggle for a while but other people have had success and I will to.

I am currently doing weight watchers and also logging my calories (because I want to know the real values not just points). I'm a wanna be vegetarian but find that somtimes my body needs more than non-meat/fish protein sources.

Being honest. Not doing what I've done in the past and skip entering food because it was a bad day and starting over. Honesty with myself is the most important.

Goal of exercising at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes, increasing it to at least 45 minutes then working up to 5 days a week.

Personal Information:
I'm from Minnesota and 40 yrs old.

Other Information:
I LOVE to read (Charlaine Harris Sookie Stackouse and Harry Potter books are my favs), watch movies, play with my daughter, computer time, Wii and Kinect, and learning to work out and love that more.

I'm figuring out who I am and reconnecting with things I enjoy and learning to love myself and feel worthy of success.
