Introduction Text July 27, 2014 fresh start.. gonna slim and trim want be slimmer at the new year! 4 months in and down 60+ pounds-- feeling great! Down over 120 from my start weight UPDATE: Had my surgery April 20 2012 and I am recovering nicely. After a 3 day hospital stay I am home learning to live my new life. Well I went to the weight loss surgeon and I will be starting a new diet this week-- need to take off 50 pounds.. weighed in with him at 468 but the WW scale said 451 so who knows what my real weight is! I am finishing off leftovers and clearing the cupboards! Update Nov 17, 2011 Well Christmas is a month away now and I am having a rough time-- I will not act like I am totally on program, I slip like anyone else. I am struggling but I know I can do it! At this point I will be ecstatic to see 440 by years end. Update Sept 28, 2011- just 3 months until Christmas and what a great gift it would be for me to be below 400-- I am surely gonna try!--449 right now so a lot of work ahead of me! Update July 23,2011--What is the world am I doing?? I was so freaking close to 399 and then I blew it-- why do I get scared to lose-- well I know but it is so stupid and I need to get over it! I WANT to be healthier, I NEED to be healthier! I am up to 449 and that is unacceptable! I was hoping to see 399 for my birthday July 2 but I blew it-- now I am aiming for 399 by Christmas.. I know I can do it~! On 2/5/11 I was down 4.4 pounds bringing my total release to 102.7--- My weight was 407.2........AMAZING!!! I am looking forward to my next BIG goal of 399~ I did not weigh in for Christmas or New Years because of the holiday falling on Saturday and that is my weigh in day-- so I weighed in on 1/3 and was down 3 pounds putting me at 414.6 down 95.2 from my all time high weight of 509.8! I have a feeling 2011 will be a good year... Even if I release a pound a week that will make me what I was 15 years ago! Weigh in today was magnificent on 12/18/10 I was down 92.2 pounds total from my high of 509.8!! I feel great,, the blood sugars are not down enough so I am on 40 units twice a day now! 11/22/2010 Update- went to the Dr on the 15.. my A1C was 10 which is way above normal so I need to take 30 units of insulin once a day to try to bring it down. SO far this week my sugars have been all over as I am taking the measurements 3x a day. I will persevere and keep on taking my meds and doing what I can to get healthier. Weigh in this week was good 427.6 10/28/2010 What an honor to find out I am the motivational Spark person of the day. I am blessed to have so many people here who care about me and who I too will always be there for. We are a family here and there is always room for more to join! I am on the right track and my next big goal is to see 399 on the scale! THREEDOM here I come! 10/4/10 So far fall has not been nice-- 3 gains in 3 weeks putting me at 435.. between the asthma, steroids and snacks I am gaining-- not the way to reach my 399 goal by the new year-- time for me to lean on my sparkfriends for help-- with you all there to help me- I can do it! Being 82.4 down at my weigh in 8/21/10 blew my mind as it is the most I have ever lost-- 100 gone here I come-- maybe not in 12 months but i will do it! MY NEXT GOAL IS TO SEE 399~ I got rid of 50+ pounds in 2009 thanks to Spark People.. My real goal is to get rid of 100 pounds in 2010 but I tell people you can only do it one bite, one day, one pound at a time.. We did not gain it overnight and we can not release it overnight-- I use the term release because I like to find what I lose.. if I release weight, it won't find me again! I make short term goals and I find them easier to reach that way-- and remember reward yourself- you deserve it-- you put in the work so you get rewarded. I want to be around to see my daughter marry and I want to be able to get on the floor to play with any grandchildren I may get! I had the worst ever weigh in on March 14 2009. I weighed in at 509.8 and I almost fell off the scale. I hit 50 pounds gone on December 12, 2009. I went to the Dr Dec 7.. Diabetes, high cholesterol and vitamin D was too low so 3 new meds.. back for more bloodwork in 3 months and if the dibetes is no better I may be taking insulin... I am pushing to not have to take insulin but my blood sugar was 125 last year this time and 257 this year! We are given a gift, a gift of life. We need to treat our bodies like a temple and keep it clean and healthy. We need to treat ourselves better and what better way to show how much we appreciate our gift of life but to keep our temples pure! Lets work on getting healthy! I feel I am in a good place, I want to change and I am willing to work harder at it. I want to reemerge in spring as a slimmer, healthier me. With the support of my friends and family, I know I will succeed. United we can succeed! Alone... it makes it a lot harder! Remember- One bite, one day, one pound at a time! We can do it, we are worth the effort.!

I never thought I would weigh over 450 pounds but I did. I weighed in at 509.8 In March 2009 . I had weight loss surgery April 2012 and slowly but surely I will get to my goal!

I had the vertical sleeve gastrectomy done in April of 2012 and I follow Weight Watchers.

MY name is Tracy and I live in Monmouth County NJ.I will be 50 in July of 2014. I have a 28yr old daughter who is my best friend. We have 2 kitties.. Lucifurr who was born March 17 2010 and Nugget Who was born in August 2010

I like to entertain my friends, cook, take pictures, care for people who can not care for themselves and do whatever I can to make this a better world. In my spare time I am a certified home health aide and an independant AVON rep.
