I discovered secrets to weight loss success on my own before dscovering SparkPeople this month. Since March 2009, I have lost 70 lbs. I believe SparkPeople will help keep me on track to lose the last 15 lbs to reach my goal weight. I have discovered that I love to exercise, and I love feeling fit. Keeping track of my food & exercise on my Lose It app has made a big difference over the past year. I've lost 45 lbs since I started logging everything.
I started on my fitness journey because my cholesterol and triglycerides were sky high, and my blood sugar was borderline high. I was 42 with an 21 month old daughter, so I need I had better get in shape if I hoped to keep up with an active toddler. I started out with 10 minute walks during my break time at work and gradually worked my way up to 90 min. to 2 hrs of exercise most days. I usually walk a mile on my morning or afternoon break, do 30min of Leslie Sansone during my lunch break and about a 2 1/2 mile run/walk throughthe pasture in the evenings with my husband & daughter (who is 4 now and loves to run/walk). Every other day I a 30 or 45 min circuit training workout in the evenings from my Nike
Training Club app. I love these because there are so many to pick from and all the muscle groups get trained.

My Goals:
To reach 130 lbs and get away from the overweight label.

My Program:
Lots of exercise: walking; Walk Away the Pounds; Nike Training Club circuit training workouts for strength training. I've recently challenged myself with some new exercise videos to get the weight loss going again: Amy Dixon's Super Fit Bod and 10 Minute Solutions' Kick Boxing BootCamp.

I've also upped my fruit and vegetable intake and lowered my sugar intake. I keep track of my food and exercises on my Lose It app

Personal Information:
I live in SW Oklahoma with my husband & daughter. I'm a Christian. I love to exercise, read, do Lumosity Brain Training, and play with my daughter.

Other Information:
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!
