Hi, I am Tim. I am mid-50'ish (it keeps changing), from Texas, but retired to the Philippines 4 years ago. I was 108 kilos when I got here, and got up to 115! Been at this about 3 months and I am down to 103 kilos. Only 17 kilos to go ha ha... then we will see from there. (as of DEC 2106)

I live on a rice field about 20 Km from the city, but only 1 Km from the beach. So, not to bad. There is no gym or workout buddies. Mostly I walk 3-6 Km a day, and of course track every bite I eat. Always drink your water! I try not to drink my calories. Well, ok, my wife makes Milo with breakfast everyday (hot chocolate). That is 109 calories I *could* cut, but I like it. We still got to enjoy life, right?

Just trying to stay motivated. The easy weight loss already happened so now it has slowed down a lot. Such is life.

Over the last 20 years the pounds have just creeped on a little at a time. Partially due to health issues (a gift from the Navy), general laziness, and lots of bad choices on my part. I recently decided it is finally time to do something about it. I knew I needed to lose weight for years, but it never *clicked* before. Now it is different.

So here we go - again - hopefully for good this time ha ha. I am taking a sensible and sustainable approach. There is no magic diet, magic pill, or believable infomercial. Eat less, eat better, exercise more. To use the trite expression it is time for a "lifestyle change".

My Goals:
Somehow I got up to 115 kilos. Long term goal is 85. Short term... just getting under 100 would be nice.


My Program:
Walking, 3-6 Km a day. Just tracking my food, kind of all things in moderation. No more Cokes at the house (was drinking 4 liters a week). I measure most of my food and keep my food/exercise diary honestly (why lie to ourselves?).
