The flow of energy from this woman is freeing..."
Gina Tolleson Thicke - Santa Barbara Magazine

With a rapid growing following worldwide, Brazilian dancer and singer Vanessa Isaac is a pioneer, blending Brazilian Rhythms, yoga and contemporary dance. Vanessa’s intoxicating method and personality have made her a star. Her work has been featured on CNN Headline News, Fox, Shape Magazine, Fitness, Women’s Health, Weight Watchers, Dance Spirit Magazine, Seattle Times, Arkansas Democratic, Sweat Magazine and many other publications. She has also been nominated for the prestigious Brazilian International Press Award.

Dancer and choreographer, she is an innovator in the realm of alternative health and fitness. She was the first to release a Brazilian Dance and Fitness Title. Her award-winning videos and DVDs, The Brazilian Dance, Samba 1 and 2, inspired the dance-fitness community, paving the way for the current wave of enthusiasm for Afro-Brazilian mind-body exercise. Her classes are a reflection of her personality, background and philosophy of life. She believes in creating community with art, inspiring people of all ages to share their journey with each other. The Independent stated: "Everywhere that I turn, I bump into another of Isaac's dedicated students: at parties, at concerts even in the hall's of the Indy... Isaac's success has a lot to do with her warmth, charm and knack for making people feel at ease, but it is her skill and knowledge of the culture that that truly brings her students an authentic experience."

Vanessa has taught at Universities, Schools, Clubs and spas.

Vanessa is also a singer and producer. In 2001 she co-founded the BAND Hipbrazil (same name as the production company). She served as producer, choreographer and singer. Within the first years, Hip Brazil created a loyal following with sold-out venues and fans intoxicated by Hip Brazil’s infectious sound: inspired by the rhythms of Brazilian pop, samba, afro Brazilian and bossa nova with a sprinkling of funk. Hip Brazil brought together world-class musicians including Vince Denham on sax, Cassio Duarte on percussion, Jeff Elliott on trumpet and keyboards. George Friedenthal on keyboards, Kevin Winard on drums, Teka on vocals and guitar, Randy Tico on bass and Vanessa Isaac doing vocals. These Hipbrazil artists have worked and toured the world over with renowned musical luminaries such as Les McCann, Flora Purim and Airto, Sergio Mendes, Ivan Lins, Djavan, Dory Caymmi, Joao Bosco and Matrix among others. After four years together and sold out concerts because of the handling of too many projects, of all artists involved, the band came to an end.

Taking the time for her dance and production of media was essential for Vanessa's work. Vanessa’s Brazilian Dance DVD was selected as one of the top 10 video/DVDs by Fitness and Women's Health Magazine.

While she is busy producing and choreographing her line of dance videos she is also in pre-production for her first solo CD to be release 2007. Her company, Hip Brazil, is also scheduled to also release an album inspired by Brazilian music for dance and fitness this summer!

My Goals:
To inspire people around the world to lead a healthy and creative life! To be fit, expresive and the best they can be! To share my love for movement and music. To show the beauty of Brazilian culture and encourage people to share their own culture with one another!

My Program:
Find something you love and it will be much easier to stick with a program. I
love music and dance so it's not a torture for me to make time to go to a dance class. It's a pleasure! I don't do well in gyms! Knowing your personality will make it easier for you to reach your goals! My program: dance classes and 30 minutes walks as many times a week as I can fit in my schedule (at least 3 timers a week) as well as a couple of of yoga and pilates classes weekly!
