My Goals:
You have to eat to live, but I don't believe that food should be mere sustenance. Food should be a pleasure to eat as well as healthful. I love to travel, and I don't buy designer bags or clothes - I enjoy regional cuisine and adventure! I want to be able to enjoy food, explore the countryside and be healthy doing it.

My Program:
Low grain/starch and exercise.

- Home cooked meals. One dining out option per week.
- 90g protein minimum
- 80g carbs maximum
- Clean eating - high quality vegetables, protein and fruits
- Minimal processed foods
- Low to no sugars
- Low glycemic fruits
- Occasional breads or starches, if desired.
- Sweet treat rarely.
- One glass of wine, if desired
- 30mins light to moderate exercise 4x per week
- 2 hours extended exercise on weekend (hiking, biking, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, etc)

Personal Information:
I lived 6 wonderful years in Seattle, and 5 in Savannah. I have now returned to my hometown in Colorado Springs.

Other Information:
I'm a software engineer.

    I'm glad you stopped by to say hi! I miss all of your personal science experiment info that you pass along. I started the morning poorly with carbage but I've since developed some mojo and mental readjustment. I do like that feeling. Maybe reading dr. fung will do that to a person, lol. Anyhow, I'm fasting for the day. I'm tired of worrying about bringing food to work and what to eat if I don't etc., etc. Hot lemon water with just a pinch of real sea salt. We will see how I feel at dinner time.

    It sounds like you still have a lot going on but I'm glad that you maintained your weight through the past month. Were you able to also maintain a workout schedule? Working out is my hardest thing to accomplish but I feeling that getting back to my Jillian M videos with a combo of strength and cardio would be a good idea....now to put it into practice!!

    Hi how are things going??? I've been trying to strategize on getting going on a workout plan and wonder about your successes with your higher cal approach and if that is still going well. If I could just get a week under my belt I think there would be no stopping me!
