It'a small world sometimes. They are Mike and Marilyn - Kings River Marina. We hope to come visit in Sept.

Do you live on Table Rock Lake? My BIL owns a marina down that way.

Thanks for stopping by to see my quilts ~ I had a fun class from the authors of One Block Wonder (they are a hoot)!! Was thinking it might be fun to create a whole quilt with the 3D blocks.

Yes I did it as QAYG - it was my first attempt and it worked real nice. This is the finished quilt http://freepages.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~gc

It's very simple pattern and great stash buster which is what I used for this quilt. I had a 4patch (black and white 3" blocks each) this makes a 5.5" square when sewn. Followed by a brick (2 times the 4 patch) - so mine were 5.5" x 10.5". Then I just staggered the rows starting with the 4 patch and then with the brick until I ran out of 4 patches. Because I wanted mine a bit wider then I had 4 patches I added a side strip. Works up fast.

I was able to do it as a QAYG method which made it great and easy to line up the back and front for a double sided quilt.
