I'm Tracy and my husband and I have a 5 kids with ages 4, 12, 13, 14, & 16. They keep me busy...but apparently not quite busy enough to keep me from eating!!! LOL

I woke up in January and thought to myself "Enough is enough!" I want to be healthier. I want to have the physical ability to keep up with my busy kids. I want to be able to mount my horses from the ground and not worry about what will happen when my fat ass hits the ground if I fall!! :-D

So It's time for a change and the change is in me. My initial goal was to lose 25 pounds (goal met!!). Then I'd like to set a new goal for another 25 pounds. In a perfect world I'd like to lose 85 - 100 pounds. In the real world 50-60 pounds will be enough to make me feel healthier and fitter.

So wish me luck on my journey. I never thought this was a good thing...but I'm looking forward to being a LOSER!!! :-)

My Program:
Mostly I want to learn to eat appropriately and figure out how to not just apply it while I'm chasing goals...but for a life time.

During the spring, summer, and fall I am very active with my horses. Exercising them, riding them, stringing fences, mucking stalls, putting up hay, etc. But the winter is proving to be long and inactive this year. :-(

I finally started working out this winter. I started with a treadmill and have graduated to an elliptical and a stationary bike. What a difference it makes!!! :-)

Personal Information:
I am Tracy and my family and I live in northern NY. My husband and I will be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary this fall. He is an amazing and supportive man.

We are foster parents and all of our children came to our families via adoption from foster care. My oldest 4 children came to us as school aged children and have have their own unique challenges. My youngest arrived in our hearts at a mere 3 days old and has been a joy and is a challenge in different ways. :-)

    You questioned what the HCG protocol was...Its a diet that was created between 1940-1970 by a physician named Dr Simeons. Basically you take HCG either in shot or sublingual and follow a strict 500 calorie diet. We have a group on SPARKPEOPLE if you want to get the full details. Its absolutely wonderful. You weigh in daily and lose weight daily. As you can see I've lost 8.2 lbs in 9 days. First time in my life I can say I don't feel hungry while dieting and I feel so much better.     Thanks Kris. I had already lost 5 or 6 pounds before I joined this group so I'm pretty stoked!! All together 29.8 pounds lighter than when I started. :-) I have been having pretty good luck staying within calories and have discovered and fallen in love with the Hostess 100 calories cupcakes and twinkies.

    Just over 3 weeks...ahhhhh...the sweet sound of the ocean lulling us as we sit on our balcony. How sweet it will be!!!

    Hey! How are you doing!? Just wanted to stop by and let you know I did some grocery shopping and found some YUMMY stuff! The new jello mousse temptations...YUMMO and only 60 calories. Its as close to chocolate as we're going to get without actually digging into a candy bar lol. And Hostess makes these 100 calorie cupcakes....its three mini cupcakes in a pack for 100 calories. When I say mini, i mean bite size mini lol but if its cake you want, and you take small bites, they definately fill the cravings. Anyways, I love when people try new stuff and tell me what they think, so I thought id pass it along since we had the whole sweet snack convo going! emoticon

    Yes Im feeling much better, and yes I emoticon those desserts. Im actually following the weight watchers program. I did it when they first started the points and I kept all the info from it. Im not to thrilled with eating the suggested diet on here and I know, even though my kids arent picky, they wouldnt eat it either. And I know I can change out things but I dont have the time to go threw every menu every day and sub stuff in and out. So I decided to try and do my own diet but I kept going over, so I decided to do the weight watcher again and see if that helps. Its been 2 whole days now lol and Ive stayed on track. And I plastered my kitchen with signs like "David (my husband) will be home soon shock him" and a rewards and goal list and other papers saying why I want to lose the weight. I sit at my table and only eat there and everytime Im dying to dig into the kids snacks (like tonight) I stare at those signs and remember why I cant have it. But tomorrow Ill be adding in some kind of sweet to my points for sure. lol. Im so proud of myself for not just saying screw it and digging in! Anyways, congrats on ur loss! Im proud of you!
