The Long Journey To A Thinner Me
I weighed 185 in my senior year of high school. After graduation, I began to gain weight, and it continued to a high of 550-pounds in the mid-2000s. Now I am making a difficult, yet important, effort to lose the weight I have gained and get down to a weight in the low 200s again.

My Goals:
* to improve and maintain my overall health (vastly improved so far!--)
* to be under 300-lbs for the first time since my 20s (--done!--)
* to become social again with friends and a life. I've been a virtual recluse.
* to improve my self esteem and confidence
* to rejoin the workforce as a productive citizen (--done, on a part-time basis so far!--)
My Program:
* track my foods daily
* drink a minimum of 68-oz of water daily
* exercise regularly
* have virtually eliminated drinking sugar soda and sweet tea (since 11/01/12)
* one meal splurge of foods I love, every 1-2 months
Personal Information:
I live in Conway, AR...which is about 30 miles north of Little Rock in the Ozark foothills. I'm a Texas native but raised in Arkansas. GO HOGS!
Other Information:
I enjoy most types of music (except traditional jazz...it makes me nervous listening to it). Also enjoy sci-fi, horror/occult, adventure, drama, comedy, and foreign film movies, as well as documentaries. I VOTE and consider myself a conservative liberal. I'm not religious.
