This is SO fun AND easy AND I am already seeing major results. What an encouragement! Highly recommend the blogloties arm challenge! I added bicep and triceps with weights--the rest was body weight exercises. This shoulder work out is fabulous. Day 9 of this 30 day challenge completed. I added pushups. Used the perfect weight and really concentrated on form--could barely do the last one of each set while holding form. Really seeing results. Hurray! Having shapely arms helps encourage me until the rest is shapely too! LOL! 100-Rep Challenge Finished. Hurray! 30-Day Leg Challenge Squats30 Day Plank Challenge HUGE snow flakes, falling steady and fast, WET in Austin TX. Went out and taught the neighbor kids how to build a snowman. At first I only saw improvement in my arm tone when I was doing the exercises--but now I'm seeing the improvements even at rest and am also generally stronger. Just enjoyed a chopped salad! Yum! I liked the addition of the chia seeds. I've had this same salad version by other brand names and the chia is a nice difference. Tried a new chopped salad today. I've had this combo in other brands, but tried this brand for the first time today. I liked their unique take on it--adding the chia seeds. #saldaday month of may Made a fiesta salad and it was really good. I could see adding jicama, chopped green onions, and a bit of cilantro leaves to it, next time I make it. Tasted a lot like a yummy pasta salad. #saladaday My prayers and thoughts are with the families in harms way in Hawaii. Just blogged about making good/better choices. is focusing on making the BEST choices throughout July. Today I did body measurements for the July 1-Jan 1st challenge, as well as fitness testing (I also blogged about this today on my SP). Wishing everyone a strong finish to this year--each and every day. Had a VERY busy day today. I was just running about getting a LOT of things accomplished and walking when ever I had to wait on anyone for anything. Then I sync my tracker--amazing! 18 mi 30,000 steps! Today! WOW! I didn't think it was possible. I'm resting tomorrow. . . It definitely doesn't import all of my tracker data. Don't know if that is just delayed (going to update later) or not. But today my tracker says I did 30,000 steps 18 miles. This challenge shows me doing 90 minutes of exercise today with my tracker (which was true in the early morning but didn't add to it the rest of the day) day 512 of my streak for "Track food or water" earned 7/14/2018day 500 of my streak for "Drink 8 cups of water per day" earned 7/14/2018is saying farewell to garlic! Realizing I'm really close to my 1-year Tracker anniversary, I checked out my stats. When I won and then added my tracker to sync with SP, I had 100 miles recorded. Florida Key's Virtual Walk: So far I've walked 277,166 steps or a distance (per walking4fun.com, my tracker says I've walked more actual miles than this) 122.2 miles. My nearest neighbor on the walk is 122.3 miles in and is a fellow Sparker! Finished the first week of the 28-Day #SummerSculpt challenge I'm participating in. I'm so enjoying this challenge! It is super duper effective. Seeing a LOT of results in increase strength, mobility, and fat loss. Hurray!

The last time I made the recipe on the box of CarbQuick it turned out FLAT, so I tweaked the recipe a bit. The top of the photo shows the last batch cooking, where the bottom shows the finished ones. Got in a GREAT walk (5K) did some core and other body weight exercises.Saw Dr Z giving a YouTube video on what time frame is best for fasting vs feeding based on the science. He showed the chart below. This super encouraged me! At 12 hours all of the "magic" starts to happen: insulin drops to is lowest level, blood sugar lowers, and free fatty acids and keytones increase (you are BURNING up body fat!) For me--honestly? It was the HEAT! 105 degrees. It motivated me to RUN quickly inside and drink lots of water as I was doing the grocery shopping. is trying not to melt One of my favorite ways to get in my nutrition: sauteed spinach, basil, with red onion, garlic, black olives and feta cheese for good measure. Been on a seriously large amount of spinach kick lately. I cooked down an entire clam shell spinach and made an omelette with it. Not sure how to "count" that servings wise...probably about 12 cups fresh and about 1/2 cup cooked! LOL! As the weather cools off, I'm feeling stiff a day or two after working out.
