LeConte.I would have loved to spend the night listening to the sound of this waterfall! This part of the trail went through a cave, it was so cool inside. We called this place "the slide."Some of the trails to the top of Mt. LeConte were pretty steep but the rocks gave us good footing. Then there were the trails covered in tree roots... these were trickier & I had to watch my footing. This is looking out from Alum Cave, the halfway point to the top of Mt. LeConte.Beautiful! This is why they call these mountains "The Smoky Mountains."July 18, 2008: Me on top of Mt. LeConte at sunset. My stomach is not as round.I made Meringue Snowmen filled w/ chocolate mousse for individual desserts @ a dinner party.Snowflake Cookies I baked at Christmas... double-stacked for drying...Snowflake Cookie I baked at Christmas...
