Spring has sprung quickly here. Perfect time to go on walks and look at the flowers.
Ready for 5k for breast cancer services, Montpellier, France.
Irresistible blackberries today.
Raspberries this am.
A new exercise early this am, water walking in the freezing cold Mediterranean. We did 4 miles, fun, different, lots to look at. Plans already made to go again Sunday. Going out to get aquatic shoes though tomorrow.
My husband gives me a bouquet every week. This is the latest. Great motivator!

I noticed my husband watching a documentary on making bread this afternoon. This is what he made...a combo of whole wheat, rye and white flour. Smells great in the house now.
A small street in town, decorated. Saw it on a walk through the old streets.
Made a batch of Stephanie’s oatmeal porridge mix this am. Makes a lot, easy, tastes good, and now I don’t even have to think about breakfast for a couple of weeks, or a month if I alternate it with smoothies.
Went on an extra walk to see these paintings done on a friend’s garage doors by a local street artist. Just beautiful!
To reflect on...
Made and froze a batch of McMuffins with egg, Canadian bacon and hot sauce on whole wheat English muffins to make breakfast easier. Tasty and easy.
Cute motivational bouquet from my husband from the food co op. Mostly field flowers, even some weeds. Love it!
Wanted a non-food, non sized, not expensive and unique reward for 28 days of SP. Found these glass barrettes made by a local artist. And I think now all the future rewards will come from this little gallery.
Beluga lentils on the right. A new discovery. Tiny, firm, shiny black and beautiful. Great for cold salads of all sorts. I made a pound, dry, at the beginning of the week, and the two of us have almost eaten the whole batch in different salads this week.
NSV. This is not my wedding ring, it’s an inexpensive ring in silver taking the place of my real wedding ring until it seems like the right moment to have the real thing resized. Makes me smile every time I look at it. And, something I have never seen before- it’s reversible. If I twist it around to show the other side, it has another design.
Huge lunch...450 calories, 51 grams protein, and a way to eat these fresh mozzarella balls without going over the top.
Nifty door knockers from this afternoon’s walk. #BeforeAndAfter
Here is the new motivation bouquet. My husband gives me one every two weeks. I like getting something that has nothing to do with food, clothes, sports stuff. The teeny, tiny blue flowers are just gorgeous.
No outside walking today. It is 113 F this afternoon. Going to pedal inside and be happy I have air conditioning.
11 days of vacation walking around being a tourist in rural places in the south of France. An average of 12 858 steps a day which is very good for me, temperatures in the ‘90’s. Here is a Druidic monument in the middle of nowhere from yesterday.
Long walk in rural villages today. These are cardabelle thistles nailed to doors in the hills of the Larzac in France. They used them as barometers in the old days, the leaves move with humidity. Now mostly for decoration.
Let’s all count our blessings today!
