Then I got really excited - it's August and I'm still really focused on goals I set in January! Twelve years ago today, my everything arrived on this planet. It's Two-A-Day Friday!I've been doing Yoga a few mornings a week and this is a quote that I've always loved from Ramakrishna that has felt very fitting to me already in 2018.It's official - bikini season is officially coming early! First trip to Mexico is scheduled for April! Great incentive to work hard and stay strong!Ran 3 miles this morning before the sun came up! Happy to be back run training! Working out is great, but always remember!Yesterday was Meal-Prep-Monday! Banana Bread Muffins, Mini Quiches, and Lentil Sweet Potato Chili! Tonight is the first night of the 2018 Crossfit Open! Goal - 10 rounds of the scaled workout in 20 minutes! I was awake at 3:45am excited, nervous, and contemplating doing Rx (35 lb dumbbells rather than 20 lb, and toes to bar rather than knee raises - but the weight is a LOT for me) rather than scaled. Still nervous and excited but ready to slay this workout! #intheopen Last night's long run training - over 5 Miles! Yay! Pace Sub 10! Woo-hoo! Happy Birthday to my favorite "leapling!" She is SO proud that she's still only technically 2. She has no idea how great that it will be to celebrate her 10th birthday when some will say she is 40! What Crossfit Open Workout 18.2 looked like! Hurts soooo good! #crossfit #intheopenFive mile and hill training CRUSHED! Sub 10's again! I've been on the fence about it so Spark People - I'll leave it in your hands! 100 likes on this and I'll sign up for my second half marathon! It's official - I signed up for the Flying Pig 10k! Goal - 57 minutes! Time to keep my training on track!17 Days until our trip to Cancun! Plot twist - now I have to go to Boston for 3 days RIGHT BEFORE our vacation! (like I literally will be landing on one plane 14 hours before I take off on another!) Hey, at least my hotel in Boston has a gym! If you would have told me at 25 that there would be a point in my life where I would feel guilty for skipping two workouts (Monday run and Tuesday Crossfit) because I am legitimately sick, I would have told you that you were crazy!
Now here I am Wednesday morning saying "I have GOT to run tonight. It's just the sniffles"

Got lots of steps in but lets face it - when it's all inclusive sometimes you drink more mojitos than you have in your entire life and order nachos at 2 AM...
Happy I didn't derail my progress and I'm back at it again! I spend more of my days at work than at home. And as such, much of my food consumption happens at my desk. As a reminder, several years ago, I hung a post it that said 130# on my monitor as a reminder of my first big goal weight. Once I reached it, I covered it up with 120#. That 120 lbs has been there for over a year and a half. I think it's time to push so I can put a post it over it that just says "MAINTENANCE." Flying in my flying pig after running my first flying pig! My first 10k is in the books! Final finish: 57 minutes 8 seconds! That's 9 minutes, 13 seconds a mile! Found a new snack to keep in my desk at work for a healthy afternoon protein pick me up! Vegetarian Power Bowl for lunch today! Cauliflower Rice, chickpeas, hard boiled egg, avocado, feta cheese, buffalo vegetarian chik'n and sweet heat siracha greek yogurt dressing! Two places I get my killer legs from - my momma and my Crossfit! 85# sled pull for 1 mile was my workout of choice for yesterday! Along with that I did 100 ring rows and started my commitment of doing 100 situps a day for 100 days! Ran 2 miles this morning before work! Happy to say my average pace was 9:01 a mile! My first mile was a little slow but I blazed through the second mile at a quick 7:41 a mile! What did I do before I started REALLY appreciating a healthy breakfast?
Today's breakfast -Poached eggs, sautÃ©ed kale in garlic and red pepper flakes and half a cheese kale croissant. This was SO good! All fresh and local from our farmers market! What did you have for breakfast today?Don't be the person going through the drive thru when you can be the person massaging kale for a salad! #healthyeats #eathealthy Got up at 6:30 AM to get my run in before the heat! Jokes on me, the heat isn't even going away with the sun these days! I was DRENCHED in sweat when I came home! A tasty new lunch I've started bringing to work! Steamed broccolini, udon noodles, hard boiled egg, and Quorn vegetarian chik'n - all in a homemade sauce of siracha, tamari, garlic and a splash of roasted sesame oil. A minute doesn't seem that long until...I wasn't perfect this week but we seldom are! Today's weigh in is proof that it is not about perfection, but progress! Down 1.6 lbs! Today a very sweet coworker brought some very sweet treats! I'm reminding myself with this picture that my goal weight and how I will feel in my bikini in Punta Cuna (on this beach!) in April is sweeter than a cookie or a mini cheesecake! Killed the Mini Tri last night at Crossfit! 3k Row, 3K Ski, 9k Assault Bike. 50 minutes 15 seconds! My theme song lately...Down 1.6 lbs this week! Back in to the 120's again! Thirty five days and less than 5 lbs to go to meet my vacation goal weight! Kickin butt and taking names! Crossfit Open 2019! We're all just house plants. hahaha What will you make of yourself today? Last nights dinner and I made extras to take to lunch this week and freeze! Vegetarian stuffed peppers stuffed with Beyond Beef crumbles, Israeli couscous, tomatoes, and 3 cheeses (including my favorite - goat cheese!) A very veggie forward yummy breakfast today! Poached egg, avocado, tomatoes, feta cheese and vegetarian sausage over sweet potato rice. Weigh in day! Not sure I'm going to make my goal weight before vacation like I had planned to but I'm down another lb this week! Officially down 7 of the 10 lbs I was hoping to lose before our trip and I'm only a week out from fun in the sun!Starting a new process of printing out a calendar at the beginning of each week and planning out goals, tasks, workouts, etc to keep myself focused. This one is a work in progress, but not bad for a new process the week after vacation! Hopefully can work out the process in the next few weeks! My step daughter has been running this year in school (5th grade) and has been very proud of her progress along the way. She even goes out for little runs around the block, and has talked about joining track or cross country in Jr. High next year. Last night we spent some quality time doing her first 2 mile run! She did absolutely fantastic and thinks we should do a 2 mile run every Wednesday when she comes to our house! Talk about proud mom moments!So.true.I've fallen off track lately. BUT it's never too late to start anew. Yesterday I ate within my calories, went to Crossfit for an hour, and drank 8 glasses of water. Today - I continue to make good choices. Tomorrow, I need to make the decision to do the same...Exercise clothes packed, starbucks calories included in my healthy breakfast, already 2 cups of water in to my 8 for today! My future self thanks me. Trying to be hyper focused on fitness and nutrition. I can't afford to gain back any more weight. Today's breakfast. Scrambled eggs (one yolk) with sauteed mushrooms, grape tomatoes and spinach topped with avocado. How are you getting your veggies today?

For lunch - it's going to be zoodles and vegetarian meatballs! Inspiration for our upcoming vacation to Hawaii! Going to see a friend who I haven't seen in a few years -I'd love for her to think I look wonderful. Today starts my plan to drop 10 lbs in the 30 days leading up to our trip! Thanks to my step daughter for falling on the sword and eating the 270 calorie Double Caramel Magnum icecream bar my husband brought home for me the other night!Yummy breakfast! Spicy garlic sauteed kale and tomatoes with poached eggs. Guess who was up at 6:40 this morning - riding a 10k on my stationary bike before work and watching the sun rise?! Today I start anew...AGAIN. And that's okay! 2019 was not my healthiest year. (Plus side - it was nowhere close to my unhealthiest.) But today I dedicate myself to starting 2020 with my health in mind! In my almost 20 years of being a vegetarian - it's a great time to be one! I've been trying out a lot of the new products out there - and they are pretty awesome! I had already recommitted to taking care of myself, but my first weigh in of the year this morning proved that was the right decision! I'm hoping to lose 15 lbs before our vacation in April - follow me to see how I plan to do it! Making this tonight! Can't wait for it to be done! It's one of my favorite spark recipes.My sister and her wife started doing Whole30 this New Year. She and I have been messaging each morning (we live a state away) to keep each other motivated and to share our journeys. This morning, she sent me a picture of her Whole30 Compliant breakfast. Yumm!!Got my first Daily Harvest box yesterday! This morning, I had my first meal - Spinach + Shiitake Grits Harvest Bowl. I added two poached eggs for protein and a balanced breakfast! While not photogenic, it was delicious! #eathealthyStarted my weekend with a killer workout. If you don't do crossfit, look up how to do a devil's press. They are literally the devil. #workout #crossfitHad my 5th Daily Harvest meal for dinner tonight. I made a greek salad to go along with the DH Tomato Zucchini Minestrone Soup! Delicious! I put 30 glass pebbles in a jar. Today I had my second weigh in - 2 pebbles moved! The optimist in me says only 28 more to go! I joked that my goal was just to not be the one who took dead last in our gym. Though guess what - that's better than not competing at all!
