I walked this morning by myself. My neighbor and her husband went to Mass. We almost always go on Saturday evening. It is usually more convenient. It was so quiet and peaceful except for the birds in the trees that lined the streets. They seem to be talking to each other. It made me wonder if they were telling each other how beautiful the morning was with the sun shining. Something we see for a couple days and then the clouds roll in and we once again have rain. We have had so many thunderstorms this season. Again I noticed another set of azaleas at another neighbors house. It was lavender with a white one right behind it this time. It made the color stand out. Another house had a beautiful yellow flowering small tree and another had hanging geraniums between the posts on their front porch. A young mother had here 2 year old outside and he was planting sticks in her front landscaping. It made me smile and think of our own when they used to play and run with neighbor children. Some of the houses I passed the children have purchased from their parents and still live in this neighborhood. Some have purchased homes from others who have either moved or passed away. So new generations have replaced old.

After lunch my sister called she had thinned out her creeping phlox so we went to get it. I took her the table runner we made and she put it on her dining room table. It does look really nice. We came back home after a nice visit and I planted the phlox and also the planted the geraniums in the planters out front. It's been a peaceful day here as well. This must be the day to chillout. Whoops! Think I spoke to soon. My husband is watching the ballgame downstairs and just heard him holler at the players. Pretty sure it wasn't in our favor. LOL If only we had been paid for all those games he coached from his chair in the living room or the couch downstairs. LOL

Today I am grateful for my peaceful walk..........more alone time with God.........the spring that brings forth all the beautiful flowers..........children's laughter it is catching...........sunshine...
.....for memories..................time spent with my sister......... for ballgames even if they don't always turn out in our favor..................for faith in God.

When I wonder where God is I only have to look around. He is everywhere.

Isn't it amazing how much we notice about the beauty of life around us when we just slow down and keep our hearts and eyes open?
    Your walk sounded so nice.
I'm so glad that the table runner you made looked so nice on your sister's table. I imagine she really loved it too.
Enjoy your day today, I'm off to work now.

Marie - Thanks for sharing your walk with all of us. I felt like I was there walking right along side of you! I love listening to the birds singing their happy little songs!

I got woke up at 2:30 this morning by whistling.... here hubby had his headphones on to hear the ball game but they fell down his neck as he fell asleep... someone whisting at the game woke me up. I got him up so he could go to bed then he started snoring. I think I'd rather heard the ball game! LOL

Keep enjoying your birds, flowers, God & yourself!

Marie, Sounds like you had a very enjoyable day today.. Time to catch up with your thoughts.. Our neighbor has alot of creeping phlox in his rock gardens overflowing onto the ground.. So very pretty.. Pinks & purples.. I always mentioned to Tom, that I would love to plant some in our rock garden as well.. Your appreciation for today was overwhelming.. I'm glad that your sister enjoyed her lovely table runner.. This now will befome an heirloom, for many to enjoy for years to come.. Tom has the same qualities
as Bob, when it comes to sports.. He knows more about the games, than the announcers.. No Kidding.. He missed his calling as well.. We have a big Expedition grounds, called the Big E. On these grounds that take over acres
& acres of land for our Big Fall Fair, there is a tree, by the Band Shell.. We call it the singing tree.. There are so many birds that congregate there, daily
What a beautiful sound of Chirping, just like you mentioned, conversing to one another.. I love to go there & just listen.. One of the most incredible sounds imaginable.. I can see what you are hearing, as your describe it in
your message for today.. Always take the time, to listen, laugh, & love.. Hugs Always Polly
