Monday's always time to give my home a quick going over after the weekend. We went to dinner with my oldest daughter and her family Mother's Day. My children are kinda all strung out this year. My son is in New Mexico and my youngest daughter took us out to eat Sat. evening whe had to leave for Chicago Sunday, a conference for work. My son did call again Sunday evening to wish me a Happy Mother's Day.
This morning I walked by myself (just me and God) since my neighbor hasn't made it back from Floriday yet. Did laundry and vacuumed, cleaned bathrooms. Fixed chicken fajitas for lunch and baked some banana nut bread for Bob to have for snacks.
On my walk this morning I thought of all of you and told you about the roses that are beginning to bloom at the entrance of the subdivision. They are reds and pinks. Some are in full bloom. The man who lives in the house on the end planted them around the pillar at the entrance. Probably eight or ten of them. It is so quiet in the mornings. This will change before too long. School will be over soon and the summer will fill the yards with children playing outside. Basketballs bouncing on driveways for a neighborhood game. We'll hear laughter and arguments over who fouled who. Bob has gone to the farm so it's quiet here.
In spite of the kids being all spred out. I did hear from them. Got to spend time with each of the girls just not together. And a phone call from my son.
Laundry done .......the house cleaned up..........a morning walk..........more flowers to enjoy there is something new...........peace and quiet.
