Life is but a mist...

When we are faced with harrowing circumstances, life is brought into sharp focus. A dear friend had surgery on Monday for colon cancer. She came through the surgery well, and may be going home today or tomorrow. However, chemo will used -- she has been "promised" that she willl be at her middle daughter's wedding 8/11. My heart is very heavy as I think of her pain, of her family and how we will all miss her.

I am thankful for this time to tell her that I love her, to be an encouragement to her husband, and daughters. I will miss her very much.

Do not take your friendships for granted... Do not fail to say "I'm sorry"... Do not delay -- time is short and life is but a mist.
