Went to Rosetta's Kitchen in Asheville NC today. Wow! Organic, vegetarian, with a large proportion of vegan options. I had baked peanut butter tofu, mashed potatoes with vegan gravy (made with nutritional yeast) and kale. It was the ultimate in veggie comfort food, and very healthy. My DH had beans and rice--his standby when the menu is too veggie. He also had a peaches and cream tart. The (whole wheat?) crust was a bit tough, but tasty. Another one of us had a veggie burger, said to be "the best in Asheville." She said it was good, but had entree envy for my plate. Two others had curry that was nicely spiced and sweet with coconut milk. (and I can't remember what the last person had--maybe I didn't get to taste?). My plateful was huge and I shared with the whole table.

This isn't the kind of place you go if you aren't vegetarian or adventurous with food. But it is an old-fashioned comfort food kind of place for hard-core veg-heads. And I'm definitely working my way back to that way of eating.
