Numbers

I've been paying attention to numbers for about a year now. Numbers on my box of cereal, numbers on my elliptical, numbers on my scale.

Honestly, I'm a little tired of numbers.

But all that paying attention has changed a lot in my life. The numbers on the scale got smaller as I paid attention to the numbers in my calorie tracker. As the number of my spark points increased, the numbers on my tape measure decreased. Progress has certainly been made.

Over the summer the numbers slowed down a bit as my focus shifted. And while the numbers aren't what I hoped they would be at this point, I am still very impressed with myself.

Numbers are a tool that once you know how to use, you don't really need them anymore. They are a tool to help you find a way to feel good, fit, healthy - but they are not the end result. I'm putting my numbers away for right now, and working with what feels good to me. My focus is on being strong and healthy because that is what my satisfaction should rely on - not on the numbers.

    For sure that is so true!

    I beat myself up a lot less now when I look at the progress I've made and accept responsibility for my current actions.

    I know I will make a turn around if I do what is good for me and makes me feel good and that is the important thing.

    Keep up the good work. You are already strong and healthy so just add the "er" to the end of those. :-)
