Starting Yet Again...

Yes it's me....Back again after all this time.

I did complete my last Body For Life challenge as planned on September 21st of 2008. Over the course of those 12 weeks I lost 27 pounds and 4 pants sizes. WOO HOO!

Unfortunately, during the 3 months that have passed since I completed the Challenge I have gained about 15 pounds back. (and started smoking again..ugh)

I'm back at it again as of January 5th. I started a modified Challenge so that this time I wouldn't be so limited in my workouts and get so bored with the food plan. You can read the details of this plan on my sparkpage. It's basically using Turbulence Training Circuits 3 days a week and doing High Intensity Interval training 3 days a week, and eating healthy. That's it. You can read more about Turbulence Training here. www.turbulencetraining.c

So far this week I have stuck to the food plan to a T, and i'm writing everything down in my nifty food journal. I have found it easier to track food in a paper journal because I can take it anywhere with me.

As far as exercise goes that's been tougher this week. I got in a good strength training circuit on Monday, and then Monday night my son Aaron had a major seizure and I had to mother hen him for two days afterwards. Today I'm going to try to get in another strength session and a cardio session.

The main thing is not to beat myself up for missing a workout or two. I'm still eating really healthy and doing the water and everything else. When I get into that negative mindset where I tell myself I'm a failure is when I give up. So this go around I'm focusing on what I DID get done and not so much on what I missed. Seems to be working so far!!

So, expect to see a lot more of me around here...I'm glad to be back!!

I have a weight loss blog on Wordpress if you want to check it out. www.persistentmetamorpho
