I learned today that my BMR is 1447
and my RMR is 1330.

So how do I figure out how many calories I really should be eating and how much do I really need to exercise....if I want to loose a pound a week?
Does anyone have any idea.

    I use this website to help me out - hopefully you'll find it useful too :)


    Also, there's a few calculators on to find out how many calories you need per day depending on your activity level. Or you could try -
    R>Then you could figure out how many calories you need to cut from your diet to lose 1lb a week if you consider the fact that 3,500 cals = 1lb.

    kitt, good timing, i left some links earlier in that howdy chat thread. one of them from caloriesperhour has a very good explanation. the other 2 links also add good info, like the diff between sedentary, light active etc for the different calculators/estimators
