Hit My 5% goal

Monday, January 19, 2009

I hit my 5% goal today. I am really happy about it, but I am looking forward to hitting my 10% goal more. I know that is a strange thing to say because we are all taking steps towards losing weight and 5% is a good number. The reason 10% will mean more to me is because last year when I started sparkpeople in January, I was able to hit my 5% goal and then I used my step fathers cancer as an excuse to not even try to lose weight. Plus... I think I used other things as excuses too. I let everything go in my life when it came to my well being. I realized I was great at excuses and this year I decided there is no excuse good enough not to excerise and stay on track. I also have another personal goal that is right around the corner and it is getting to the 270s. I haven't been in the 270 range for years.... and I am going to get there by next month. I WILL DO IT!

I think if you focus on the "no excuses" you will find you will hit your 10% and then some. Good luck. Chris
