Passed one test

Sunday, January 25, 2009

In order for me to be able to be on a response team to help with animal rescue in the event of a disaster, I need to take a few FEMA on-line exams and pass them. I took the first one and passed! WOO HOO! I'll try the next one soon. I also need to take CPR and animal first aid. Once these are complete, I can mail in copies of my certificates and could be eligible to be called out.

I was looking through some old Light and Tasty magazines yesterday and found some pizza recipes in one. I made a homemade chicken pesto pizza today and it was absolutely fantastic! I even made the dough from scratch. That recipe's a keeper!! YUM!! emoticon Less than 300 calories per slice, too!

It was very cold again today...below zero during last night. I'm ready for spring and warmer weather so I can walk outside every day again.

Congrats on passing your first test. It is an amazing thing that you are working towards.

I hear you about the cold weather. It didn't even make it to 20 today and we got a couple inches of snow that they weren't calling for. We are well below normal in temps and well above the normal snow inches for the month of January. I am just trying not to think about the fact that we could have another couple months of this.
