Half Marathon Training Plan ~ Week 2 review

Week 2 went pretty good. I only missed 1 hour of interval running and considering my work schedule lately this is pretty good :) I did my Sunday run outside, it was 19 degrees brrrrrrrrrr ! Even though it was cold and a little windy it was still much better than running on the treadmill !! I felt like I could keep going for 3 but decided I probably shouldn't push it, especially after last weeks extremely sore calves and quads from puddle and ice jumping

I am most definitely not and indoor runner......I despise having to run on the treadmill but when I can run outside I absolutely LOVE it!!


Week 2 (What I should be doing)

Monday: strength train / 30 min cross training
Tuesday: 2 mile run
Wednesday: strength train/intervals
Thursday: 2 mile run
Friday: Strength train/ intervals
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: 2.5 mile run

Week 2 (What I actually did)

Monday: strength train / core workout/cross training 2.5 TKD classes
Tuesday: 2 mile run (treadmill) / abs
Wednesday: strength train/intervals/cross training 1.5 TKD classes
Thursday: 2 mile run (treadmill)/ 1 TKD class
Friday: Strength train/abs/ 1 TKD class
Saturday: 1 TKD class
Sunday: 2.56 mile run (outside)


Week 3 (What I should be doing)

Monday: strength train / 35 min cross training
Tuesday: 2.5 mile run
Wednesday: strength train/intervals
Thursday: 2 mile run
Friday: Strength train/ intervals
Saturday: Rest
Sunday: 3 mile run
