I only have one more week until I go to the foot doctor and see how I'm healing. My appointment is on February 23rd. I can't wait. Even if I have to wear the boot a few weeks longer, I know that I can do this. I haven't had any pain at all since the end of the first week with the boot and it no longer hurts to the touch if you press on it. I know that when I get the boot off, the doctor is going to have to rein me in a bit. I'll want to go out and exercise and I know that I'll have to take it slowly for a while( but I should be able to go back into the water). I'm paying close attention to what I'm eating and taking my vitamins as the doctor told me to do, so I'm feeling healthy. Tonight I'm making a SP recipe - chicken and spinach soup to get in some dark green veggies. I did eat more than I should for the past three days but I'm back on track so it should take care of itself. Eating for health has made me experiment more with cooking. My husband is getting a kick out of what I've been coming up with and he's loving the variety (so am I!). I think the important lesson here is when you come upon a bump in the road, you do the best you can to eat healthy, track your food and activity and wait it out. Before you know it, you'll be over the bump and back on the road to success! Just stay the course because this is a lifestyle change (not a diet) , if you stick with it everything will come out okay in the end.
What a wonderful blog and a testament to your strength and commitment to good health! You have taken a bad situation and fought back and won. Now come here and teach me how to cook...please? 4117 days ago
