valetudinarian, vacillate, valiant

valetudinarian... ain't this a cool word.. it means 'sick' ... I have struggled with many voiceless days... occupational hazard if one is a speech therapist... but I have now recovered and am talking just as much as ever...

vacillate... this is a fancy word for hesitate and I hesitate to hesitate but I have been vacillating especially with my exercise.... OUCH... but I will ride that bike emoticon It does scare me because of my crushed foot issues....I did ride today--well I fell again today --- I don't want people to laugh at me emoticonbut a very wise sparkfriend has told me that falling off my bike is a rite of passage... so I can do it again... use to ride around 100 miles a week before the snow-ski accident and 8 months in the wheelchair.... and lack of exercise is the ONLY thing that is interfering with my journey to better physical health.... my diet has been great, water fantabulous, sleeping is great, journalling is healing... but that exercise on the bike.... I will tackle it... (can't walk for exercise secondary to chronic severe foot-pain) So I will be

VALIANT with the bike... I am going to do it... I promise here publicly to start again tomorrow... emoticon

    you can do it! I have been struggling with recovery from two knee surgeries, so I know the feeling. For me, it was swimming that helped. Have you tried that? it's really good for your whole body and great on your joints. :) good luck tackling that bike.

    oh yer royalness get thee on that bike and not just on the weekends!!! buy you a rear wheel bike stand at the bike shop or sporting goods store and lift the bike onto it and do you biking in private until your foot gets strong enough to keep you stable you will avoid the falls that are so hurtful especially in public and you can watch tv or avoid the rain whatever but the bike will be there and when you are ready for outside just pop it off and away you go why don't you strengthen that foot by using the gazelle in the gym you have there for a few weeks?? no stress at all but you will be surprised after only a week the changes you will see and the strength that foot will gain!! i am doing my gazelle yesterday and today yes i am still on crutches but you know there is no stress there so i am keeping up with it emoticon emoticon

    You go girl!!! You get back on that bike and ride like the wind!!! I'm very proud of you for getting back on and tackling this.... many people would not have. Shows what you are made of :)
