Mad at the pedometer for no good reason

Friday, February 27, 2009

So this morning, I finally had time to get out my new Leslie Sansone video--5 fast miles, each one at 12 minutes per mile. I got through three miles, then had to do other things like take an actual walk with the dogs, and get ready for work.

Eventually, though, I took a look at my pedometer, and it told me that I had done 19 minutes of "aerobic" walking, for 2300 steps. So I figured that the pedometer just had not registered all those three miles of steps that I took with Leslie. And that makes sense since I was mostly walking in place, but it doesn't make sense because I've walked with Leslie before, and the pedometer has registered LOTS of steps.

The answer? I'm lazy and I had never gotten around to changing the clock on my pedometer when I changed the battery, so most of my Leslie steps counted on YESTERDAY. DUH.

So I'm not mad at the inanimate object in my pocket any more. And I got a LOT of steps -- yesterday.

On my to-do list: Change the clock on the pedometer.

Have a great day!

Judy
