Staying Accountable - fitness calendar

(I posted this as a thread in the message boards, but wanted to blog it too)
So.. I thought I was doing great, I was logging my exercise and thought that my routine was good... then I saw Coach Nicole's dailySpark article about her least favorite day to work out. It gave me the idea to actually log my exercises in a monthly calendar format as well as logging them in My Fitness here on Spark.
So I wrote down what I did on each day, did a big X through days that I did jack-squat, and highlighted each item in one of 4 different colours (one color for each of: Cardio, Abs/Core, Upper Body, Lower Body)
When you lay it all out like that, it's a big wakeup call to where you are failing yourself, in terms of your fitness routines. I had NO idea how often I really was (or rather, was NOT) working the different areas of my body in strength training. And it also went a long way to explaining my poor results for February, when I actually see how many days I took as "day off". Oops.
So... my suggestion for everyone is to print off a calendar (there are lots of free ones online) and do the same... it's a great way to show what you are actually doing for your fitness, and where you might want to "kick it up a notch".
