April 1st - A Brand New Month

Wednesday, April 01, 2009

I'm ready for the new month - ready for spring, ready to get my butt in gear and get out of the house more to do outside stuff.

I went this weekend to visit my hubs, he's in Mississippi (we are in the Military, and he's PCS'd and I'm waiting to sell our house to join him.), the weather there was lovely for my stay. Warm, sunny and I got to wear short sleeves. Had my legs seen the sun in the past 5 years, I might have put some shorts on, but since it's been since they are opaque white - I decided to spare the folks in Biloxi and Pascagoula their eyesight. I came back to SNOW of all things... UGH. But, I'm happy to be back home with my fur baby Ricky Martin and I get to sleep in my own bed - home sweet home. I miss hubby terribly, and it was a fabulous visit, but nothing beats being at home.

My goals this month are the same in regards to exercise - Jazzercise 4 days per week and Yoga the other 3. Nutritionally - I want to get more protein in to support my workouts and make sure I'm getting enough cals to burn and hopefully break this stall I've been in for the last 3 months. I only lost 2 lbs since mid January, and I am still 16 lbs from my personal goal of 135. 16 lbs... WOW! Only 16 lbs to goal... As I read that - it is UNBELIEVABLE to me...

I'm just going to let that sink in....

In the meantime... I think I'll check out the local tanning salon... :o)

Glad you had a great visit with your hubby and got home in your snuggly bed. Congrats on 16 lbs to go. Having over 50 to go that doesn't seem possible but you obviously felt the same way. Congrats again!
