So far how I am doing

Well I started this site on Tuesday and now it is Saturday. On Tuesday I stayed in my calorie range, went over it Wednesday by like 200, went over on Thursday by 15 calories, and was under by 200 calories yesterday. I did my strength training on Wednesday and only 10 minutes of Cardio. I didn't get to my fitness yesterday.

I really need to work on my motivation and figuring out a way to get my cardio in. When I get back to work next week I will do a little better in that area because I am a server and I get a lot of walking in. I bought a pedometer just for that purpose. I keep reading the motivation articles hoping that I will find mine.

I enjoy this site and I am glad that my mother told me about it. I am happy to be a part of this community and I have already began to spread the word about it.

    It sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work, don't try to do too much too soon or you could set yourself up for disappointment if you can't live up to your goals. Think of how great you did this week compared to how you used to eat and exercise, not compared to how you think you are "supposed to" eat and exercise!

    I too just started last week and have a tough time getting the right amount of carbs, proteins, etc in. Yesterday I got to all the goals except I think I went over in calories by 200. Oh well, live and learn. It's a learning experience. I'm hoping to exercise for the first time today. I just have no motivation but I posted on another site that I would, so I shall.     Yeah for you. It is more about getting into a routine so that you won't have to count calories any more because you have learned. Try to get your kids involved with your exercise. My daughter is always asking me to put on a workout video.

    Hang in there. You might find it helpful to make your daily menu's up in advance. That way you can check your nutritional values before hand. As for the snacks I keep a list of my snacks on the refrigerator with their calorie values next to them. It keeps me pretty honest with my nutritional tracking. The exercising will come along too. I started out at 10 minutes cardio every other day. Now I am doing cardio 20 minutes a day 5 days a week hoping to push to 25 sometime this next week.
