The Broccoli Hog

Monday, April 20, 2009

Yesterday we had flash flood warnings. Storms went through and dumped another inch and a half of rain. It flooded part of the county and IDOT had to close a state highway. A car was swept off the road.

It was supposed to be gloomy and rainy today but the sun came out. The ground was a mucky mess but I was able to get outside and walk anyway so I had no problem getting my steps in. I have several pairs of muddy tennis shoes on the back porch so I just pick one and go.

I ate on plan fairly well today too. Except I kind of pigged out on broccoli. I ate 3 servings and it caused my digestive system to scream. What can I say - it tasted good and I wanted it. I guess it's better than pigging out on ice cream.

emoticon yep better for you than ice cream. Just pitty the poor people in the room! Been there done it too! emoticon Lots of water to keep things 'moving' along. emoticon And careful over doing it if you have Thyroid issues- it can inhibit the med absorbtion.

Great that you don't let the muck keep you from walking!

I'll never forget eating an entire bag of baby carrots once. Never again. Binging is bad even if its on good food.
