91 confirmed cases in the United States. 1st case was a 5year old in mexico who is now well. A 23month old boy died in houston tx. He visited from mexico with family in tx. and was already infected. He was hospitialized on April 4th and few days later showed symptoms. It is detected in influenza type A with H1N1 found in the culture. Symptoms include more vomiting and diarrhea than regular type A influenza. Also, really high fever. Half of NYC cases came from a school that did not shut down and continued with a shin dig of some sort. If u are sick or your child, stay home and call your health department and report symptoms and get further advice. If u are in an infected state, get a mask and keep on hand and if u get sick, wear it in public if u have to be in public and please dont get near others or sit in a waiting room. It is contagious and possibly deadly. Tamiflu is effective if caught early enough, so far.
