Back in action

I had been dragging my feet and the results showed when I stood on the scale the other day but worst was when I noticed that my clothes started getting tighter. The scale showed that I put on 20 pounds since last November 08 and I sure could kick myself where the sun don't shine for allowing myself for getting lazy and forgetting what's important. Anyhow.... I finally got the wake-up call I needed and I'm back on track again. My goal is to take off that 20 pounds plus some, to reach my goal weight of 135 or less. It's been so long since I've been thin that I'm not sure what my goal weight will be till I reach it and I'm feeling and looking good about myself. I just hope it's possible at my age and with all the health issues I have to reach it. I will certainly try and this time no going back to my old ways. Cutting out the fried foods, and high starch from my meals and picking the healthy way to eat and exercise so I can look and feel better. Next goal in my future is to stop smoking again. I had stopped for over 17 years and then started back up last year. And boy am I feeling the results of that bad decision already with my lungs. I've been coughing since Dec and can't get rid of it. Ugh. The things I do to myself are so stupid! Time to wise up and get real! Just wish it was easier to put to action and not so hard to do. But good things in life are worth fighting for and I think I'm worth the fight. :)

    Glad to see you joined my team.... It might be just a couple of us who are active on it right now... We all kind a went to sleep or whatever the reasons.. Just need to put the others back into action. ahaha.. See ya on the team.

    Hi Ivy! Yes, you are worth the fight! I am bummed that I gained back my weight too but can't look back.....we can only look forward and learn from what we did right and what we did wrong.
    And when you get to the no more smoking part....well....9 years this fall for me......so I know what that involves too! Quitting is tough but you don't want oxygen hoses coming from that pretty face!!

    Hi, glad to hear your positive talk. Anything is possible at any age. I wondered about keeping up an exercise program before SP and I am now truly amazed by what we can achieve physically if we just keep at it on a daily basis. It does make you feel younger. Truly!
