Day 13...Met my challenge.

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

Well I was very worried that I would not be able to complete the 90 minutes of cardio because of my ankle. I bought some new shoes and an ankle brace and Walked about 40 minutes 3 days in a row. So I met my challenge and tried out my ability to exercise with my new stuff. However, I realize that not resting in between workouts strained my ankle a little and tonight it is hurting pretty bad. So I am gonna give it a rest for a day or too.

I stayed in my calories today and I did 37 minutes of cardio. I feel energetic and I am excited about making better choices in food. I am pretty aware of what I am eating now and how it adds up as far as calories go. I dont know that I am ready to track only a few times a week yet. I think I need to stick to every day. It keeps me thinking and keeps me on track. Whatever works, right? If part of my lifestyle change is that I have to track food daily for my own sake, then so be it. This is the first time I have ever committed to tracking my food and sticking with it. It is the first time ever I have kept up with a journal for more than a week as well. I actually love it. Last night my husband came over to see what I was doing and I showed him all around the site. I mean, he hears me talk about it and about the BL team all the time but this was the first time I showed him anything. He said he was proud of me for sticking to this. It is my first time staying on track longer than a few days within the whole time we have been together. It made me feel good to know he realizes how serious I am about this.

Ok, well I gotta get Erica in bed now. Be back soon.
