Another surprise day

Friday, June 19, 2009

Well, today did not go as expected. I thought I was dropping in for a very short visit at the hospital and ended up with my dear friend for 6 hours. I was busy the whole time, but I did break away for some nourishment. V-8, cottage cheese. Later I gave in to carrot cake but I had non-fat milk (ha-ha). I'm home now and I'll finish off with a turkey sandwich (no mayo). And I hope I can get in more of my water. There is something I didn't do right but I don't know what it is. I guess I won't over-analyze it. Instead, tomorrow I'll just keep going in the right direction. Yeah! It rained in Tucson, today!

YOU ARE AN AWESOME CHICK! All that love and care for your friend and you cared for yourself too. Way to go. You have the right attitude.

Carrot cake 101 of the highest calorie desserts there is! And one of my favorite! Find another comfort food from the cafeteria (warm soup?) cause that stuff is the fastest way to get the thighs that I am trying to lose! Or just have one bite if you can (cause, yes, we like it...) and take the rest home to some skinny person! It's not worth it. One of our elderly pioneers makes her own oatmeal cookies and takes a ziplock with a couple of them with her for break or They are nutritious and full of fiber and they're sweet too but not off the map in calories. And she's got to watch her pennies too so it's good for that.

Aren't I bossy? But I love you, sis. (ps...I confess I had a cookie with my coffee today at Starbucks today...I almost chose that carrot cake!!! They are never as good as they look behind that glass, are they?) Choices...good choices. That's what'll get us there.
